We removed all six pine trees that were in the front yard, we also removed all the bushes. Hand railing was built for the front steps, side porch was enclosed. Soft spots were repaired in the roof, exterior was painted, pathway was bricked and the hedges were trimmed.
Built and installed deck and hand railing on back porch area of the house. Continued the brick path around the deck steps all the way to the pecan tree in the back yard. The result was a beautiful patio that extended through the backyard. We also continued the pea-gravel in the flower beds.Installed small solar lights and shrubs along the outside flowerbed of the patio.
We built the well house around the well pump and painted it to match the existing structures.
Inside the house, the original utility room was not connected to the kitchen. We connected the rooms to each other and built a small pantry. We installed oak cabinets, new counter tops and back splash. We installed a new oven and hood range, a small cabinet for the microwave, the dark molding at the tops of the cabinets as well as the recessed lighting in the ceiling and underneath the cabinets. We installed new vinyl floors and put down new floor molding.
Windows were in bad need of repair. Old windows were torn out and new windows were installed into the house.
We moved the original garage from the side of the home to the back of the 3/4 acre lot. The first floor of the old garage, renovated, now contains (starting from the left) a mechanic’s shop, a small office, a wood shop.
The second floor contains a game room and a small one bedroom apartment.
